Monthly View and POTD.

Late in taking and posting this month's view.  Also linking it with Lucky Snapping View

You can see January's view here

Plus POTD update which I realise is over due, so will only put a few up otherwise it will become a very long post.

28/365 - Our village pub, not a good photo, taken after an awful evening at work :(

29/365 - View from my kitchen window,

30/365 - Perranporth, looking down onto the beach this time.

31/365 - A street in Truro - they have introduced 30 mins parking bays in areas now which makes life so much easier for quick stops - ie dropping quilt off at launderette.

32/365 - Penryn Asda car park, wet and horrid.

33/365 - Front cover of the Asda magazine, didn't go out in the car today.  This will be the closest I get to anything remotely romantic for Valentine's day!!

That is all for this post, will update the rest tomorrow. x

366 project

Some of last week's daily photo's.  I know they should be in b&w to go with the 26 wk challenge, but these were taken with my compact which doesn't do b&w.

Bernadette waiting in the queue to register for the run.

Cup Cake display at the the Ovarian Cancer Cupcake Tea Sale that a friend held in the village, £295.80 was raised for this very good cause, one that I feel gets over looked abit.  Guess this one is close to my heart as the friend who organised it lost her 18yr old daughter to it and I lost mum to it.

Moving swiftly on, this next image is actually tulip stems, messed about with in photoshop, just something different.

Amanda came home from the UCAS day last Tues with a bag full of uni prospectus's for us to wade through and short list to 5!!

Talking above of b&w images, the current challenge in the 26 wk challenge is to only photograph in b&w.  Started this last Monday and I was surprised at how hard I have been finding this.  Especially as the weather has been gorgeous and the colours of nature so beautiful trying to capture that in b&w it seems very odd. So hand on heart I have been taking both, it would be better if I just set the camera to b&w and then turned the LCD screen off, then I would just take the photo and not immediately look at the screen - did you know the act of taking an image and then immediately looking at the screen is known as "chimping" lol -  I do a lot of chimping

Spring is on its way.

Had a stroll around the garden yesterday trying to find some inspiration for something!!  Took a load of awful photos purely because I was too lazy to come inside and get the tripod and too tired to hold the camera steady - pathetic eh?  Anyway I was delighted to see so many buds bursting out, here is one that turned out sort of OK.

Yesterday I finished watching this dvd

it is six hours long, in six episodes and it is brilliant (well I think it is), It covers the history of photography and the thoughts behind some of the great images we know so well and the photographers of today.   I hasten to add I did watch this over the course of two weeks.  If you ever get the chance to see it I would recommend it - if you are into photography that is!!

I also met up with Yvonne yesterday for a good catch up and cuppa which was lovely, just as well as we don't really get chance to talk properly to each other at camera club -my fault - sorry Yvonne :(

No sky watch today as it is grey and dull :(.
