Mussel Picking

Another week flown by, but it has been good and has ended with a trip to Lusty Glaze beach to pick some mussels for tea on Saturday. We were going to go in the morning morning but it would mean we would have to be there by 6.45am and I have no intention of getting up that early as I really needed to catch up on some sleep. Admittedly the weather was pretty dismal and wet but it was good fun and we managed a bucket of fresh mussels for our tea. Naturally I shall leave the preparation and cooking to his lordship and Bernadette (who is home for the weekend)

So here they are ready to be demolished by moi!

The end results, dishes of empty shells and three happy stuffed teddies :)

Nothing quite like finding your own food and cooking it!

  2. Love mussels but have never had the pleasure of collecting my own fresh. Thankfully they are not expensive here in France. Yum yum Diane
