A learning experience.

For quite awhile now I have been interested in having a go with a film camera again. I use to have one in my younger days, but gave it away when I couldn't get it to do what I wanted - derrr user ignorance - NOW I have a bit more of an idea as to what to do with it.  My cousin has very kindly offered me he Olympus kit when I next see him (he lives in Yorkshire) but in the mean time I happened to mention this on flickr the other week when someone else was talking about it and to my surprise a few days later I receive an email from someone else offering me their old film camera as it would fit my lens!!  So I now have a film camera again, a Canon EOS 5 and I have finally plucked up the courage to put film in it and press the button!!!  It is scary stuff you know, I can't see what I have taken, I am aware each time I press the shutter it is going to cost so I have to be sure before I press.  A whole new experience here, no more chimping!!  It is very similar to mine but lighter :) and it has an extra hand grip which is really good.

After taking the photos of Amanda yesterday digitally I did take only 3 with film, a colour one at the mo!!  It will be interesting to see what they look like when developed.  Don't ask me why I want to try film again as I can't explain it.  Mick thinks I am mad!!  Maybe I am, but I'm happy.
