Rest and Refresh - end of the week.

Lynne challenged us to photograph ourselves resting and refreshing ourselves.  This is what I have been up to this week - well some of the things.

Knitting - can't show this in full yet or say what it is - will explain at a later date :)

A couple of months ago now I signed up to a penpal swap, I was paired with Joy, and I have to say I am loving it.  Really enjoyed sitting down yesterday afternoon to write a letter.

Earlier this year I decided to start reading again (after reading this post scroll to the end)  admittedly this is only my second book this year but that is two more than the last few years - so I am happy :) Will let you know what I think of it.  As you can guess I picked it up because of the title!!
As well as that I have been out walking twice which is always refreshing and recharges the batteries a treat. Oh and very refreshing was going out for  a meal last night with Mick.

This was my main. Chicken and Chorizo suet pastry pie, it was delicious.  It was at the Hawkins Arms in Zelah, if anyone is ever down this way this pub is a MUST.  Unfortunately there was no room for desert :(

And to end Lynne's week off I am having a knit and natter day with my sister in law - serious rest and refreshment lol.  Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

  8. I love your photos. I think knitting is very relaxing (I used to do it years ago). I don't think I have the patience anymore to do it though.
