Sooo adorable...

Spent a wonderful time during half term photographing all sorts, finally getting around to going through the images and thought I would show you some.  The first is of a minature Shetland Pony colt, (can't remember how old this one is but not very old).  They are so tiny and adorable, very friendly and curious - they found my camera bag very edible!!

I put the next one in to try and show their size, not the most flattering photo of Amanda but she was in her element so we don't worry about things like bra straps!!!

Here's looking at you!!

This is a very rare breed of goat, but unfortunately I can't remember what they are called.  Very impressive looking though, I just liked this one as he was getting closer and closer and I was wondering if I should stand up or stay sitting as I was.  Thankfully he didn't attack me :)

The next one I couldn't resist showing you.  A friend has some pigs and said about photographing them, they weren't the most co-operative I have to say, but the antics with the horses in the field next to them was hilarious.  The horse kept biting the pigs tail and would lift the pig up by it's tail, lots of squealing from the pig until the horse let go. The owner didn't know about this little game until I mentioned it!! OOps, she laughed as much as I did.

Portrait Shoot

As promised here are a couple of images taken yesterday on the portrait shoot. Louise was a fantastic model - not that I have worked with a model before - but she knew what to do which in my mind made it so much easier for the likes of me to take photos of her.

End of a great week.

Well that is half term over and done with - back to work tomorrow for seven weeks then summer hols yeah.  Have spent most of the week playing with the camera - photographing animals, flowers and people - yes people!!!  Yesterday I spent the day in the company of some members of the Plymouth Camera Club doing portrait photography outdoors using natural light as well as flash lighting.  I learnt so much - just need to do some shopping now!  Will upload a couple later from yesterday but here is one of a rose that is growing in the garden I bought it as a big double, heavy scented bush rose, it appears to be a small single, slightly scented rose!!!!  Still lovely.

Where did I go wrong???

Spending the evening ploughing through photos that I have taken lately and sorting them out as to what has potential and what definitely hasn't, I find I am becoming even more critical than ever of my work. I see this as a good thing so long as it doesn't destroy my enthusiasm.  It also started me thinking about the subjects I and others photograph, tomorrow having dropped the girls at the station and done the shopping I'm off to photograph some pigs, then in the afternoon I'm photographing some minature shetlands, goats, horses and chickens. Then on Sunday I'm photographing a Dexter bull.  Compared to a friend who has just spent a week at the Cannes film festival photographing the stars!!!!  Mmmm can't help but think I've got the wrong end of the stick here.  Some might say I know my place in life! lol

Love the hat.!

Another photo of Kate, I really liked this one but I know Kate was not impressed with the hat, but as her mum has put it on her blog as well I think I can show it too!
