Watching You....
Never got around to this yesterday! I decided to post this one because on Sun I am going to the Screech Owl Sanctuary for a photo shoot with the birds!! Never done one of these before so it will be interesting to see how it is orangised. Anyway I thought it would be interesting to compare this one with what I come up with on Sun. Hopefully some improvement as this photo was taken a couple of years ago. I now have a different camera and a huge pap lens (as Mick calls it).

Lost mojo
A poor excuse for not updating but it is true. My photo mojo, my scrapping mojo, my every day mojo has left me. Hence nothing happening here. As some of you know I have other things on my mind at the mo and hopefully by the weekend there may be a light at the end of the tunnel and I shall get back on top of things. So apologies if you are tired of looking at my leaf photo - I'll sort out a fresh one tomorrow.

Torch light
Well I haven't tried any more star trails because it has been too cloudy or too cold!!! So here is a picture I took a couple of months back when playing with slow shutters. It was taken with the shutter on bulb setting and then I ran torch light around the outside of the leaf. It didn't give me the effect I wanted - I was trying to draw the outline of the leaf - but I liked the lighting effect it gave. See what you think.

Another moon light image
Here is another one I took the other night down at Towan. Must admit this is probably my favourite from the evening. In fact everyone who has seened it so far has fallen in love with it.

New Month
Ok where did January go???? I must have blinked that is all I can say.
So here we are five days into February and I haven't even posted what my theme for this month is going to be - shame on me!! Well it is another of my favourite techniques, which needs to be mastered on my part and that is low light photography and slow shutter speeds. I just love low light images, something special about them. Last weekend brought a full moon, so there I was with my extremely understanding husband down on Towan Beach, in the bitter cold photographing the moon reflecting on the sea and star trails!!!!!! As it was my first attempt I was pleased with the results but they are by no means brilliant - I have along way to go before I feel confident in this area.
I'll show you a couple that were taken a minute apart at 7.40pm, the first had a 6 sec shutter and the second 20 secs.

I find it hard to believe the second one was taken at night. The moon and its reflection are
burnt out. The little white dots are stars - not marks on my lens - (well I don't think they are anyway!)
This next image is one of my first attempts at star trails. I will try this again but not with a full moon.
The shutter speed on this was 69 secs. I actually like this image, probably because of the shades of blue.
Anyway hope you enjoy.
