I like this

Found this quote on another lady's blog and really like it, so I thought I would share it with you all.

" BE WISE IN THE USE OF TIME.

THE QUESTION IN LIFE IS NOT

HOW MUCH TIME DO WE HAVE .

THE QUESTION IS WHAT SHALL

WE DO WITH IT . "

ANNA ROBERTSON BROWN

Last day of August

Well that is August over and done with, so quick as well.  I always remember my mum saying "time flys" and  I couldn't see what she meant so decided it must be an age thing, now I know exactly what she meant, so either my understanding has improved or I've reached that age!!  Sorry to say I think it is the latter.

We had a lovely two weeks in Bulgaria, very, very hot, very relaxing, lots of time to think and talk about life and plans etc, so we have returned refreshed with a different outlook on our life and new intentions.

Sat night a friend and I went to the Eden Project for a photo exhibition by the very talented Sue Earnshaw http://sueearnshaw.co.uk/blog/  some wonderful photographs.  The evening was also a fundraising event for 'Tanya's Trust', I didn't know much, well nothing actually about the charity before hand, but listening to Tanya's mum telling us about Tanya (who lost her 20 month fight against leukimenia at the age of 17) made me very thankful that I have two healthy daughters, one who is 17.  It also put my aches and pains into perspective. I so admire people like Tanya's mum who go on and help others when they have lost so much.  The trust was set up to help others of a similar age group to Tanya to give them support and courage to deal with what lies ahead of them.  A very worthy cause.

As you can imagine I have lots of photos from our holiday, which I am ashamed to say I haven't had chance to go through them properly yet, but that is this week's job, oh as well as going back to work, but we won't talk about that just yet!

We're all going on a summer holiday..........

no more worries for a week or two!!
Yep we are off on holiday this afternoon for two whole weeks of sun and serious chilling, my brain desperately needs some chilling. Checked the weather in Bulgaria yesterday and it is around 31-32c each day, so my vit D levels should be suitably topped up by the end of the fortnight - if they aren't well who knows I might stay out there - if I like it enough :)

Where is the time going?

Three weeks into the holiday period already, even more scary is the fact that we are nearly half way through August.  It has been a busy three weeks, though enjoyable.  Friends from Herts came down the first weekend, great to catch up with them.  Then last week my nephew from London came to visit, this was lovely as we haven't really seen or spoken for nearly fifteen years (families eh?)  so it was good to catch up on what has gone on in his life and how well he has done for himself due to his own efforts and determination.  It was also good for him and the girls to spend some time together getting to know each other.
Whilst here we did the boat trip from Truro to Falmouth, haven't done that for years.  It was lovely and relaxing.  I don't normally show photos of myself - mainly because I always pull silly faces - very childish I know.  Anyway Bernadette took this one of me and my girls, or should I say my gnomes!! and I rather like it.

                                          Bernadette,   me,  Amanda.

The other exciting thing that has happened this last week was my receiving a phone call from the owner of one of the holiday parks in Newquay asking if I would be interested in taking photos for their 2011 brochure!!!!!  Would I??  yes please, the only downer being he wanted them by the end of August, we go away on Friday for two weeks, not so good.  After a chat he agreed to extend the deadline to the end of Sept, so I have been going back and forth getting photos that will be suitable for what he wants, trouble is the weather hasn't been on my side for this assignment, a holiday park with black clouds doesn't look very inviting to say the least. Still I have to say the people I have met whilst doing it have been lovely which has made it so much easier for me.  What next !!

I wanted to put something on here today because yesterday and today are two very important but sad anniversaries in my life.  On the 10th August 2005 Mick's aunty - known in Penzance as Sister Joseph passed away and on the 11th August 2006 my mum passed away.  Both ladies were very very special to me and I miss them both dearly - Never Gone, Never Far, In my heart is where you are xx
